Hiya Gang…

Okay, so I am a bit late in the month wishing you all a very happy Black History month! I would have gotten around to it sooner, but I had some Blog troubles and had to go off line for a few days.  Ah well, everything is fixed now and you know what they say, better late than never.

To celebrate Black History month, I thought I’d post some of the art I’ve done for Black Inches over the years.  Incidentally, I am sadly no longer working for Black Inches.  The magazine has opted to use only photos to illustrate their short fiction from now on.  It’s sad for me because I truly loved drawing for them, but we parted on great terms and you know what else they say… nothing lasts forever.

I also want to say a great big thanks to my pal JC Etheredge for the wicked postings he’s made over at his Anti-Heroes Blog concerning Black History Month.  You really should check it out.  There’s some great stuff there, including JC’s very cool TOP 10 Implicitly black characters review.

Meanwhile, I wanted to mention that the “Show your Love (LUST) for Class Comics” contest has come to a close.  Now it’s time to vote for your favorite 3 entries.  All you gotta do is head on over to the Class Comics website and cast your vote.  Now remember boys and girls, this isn’t just about who showed the most skin!  Consider the creativity that went into each entry.  LOL! ;)  The polls close on March 7th, so don’t miss your opportunity to make your opinion heard.

In other news, a lot of you have been asking me to do this for a long time, and I finally JOINED FACEBOOK!  Yes, it’s time I got with the times!!!  So now, I hope you’ll all come and be my friends!  Just follow this link to my page.  It’s better to do it that way, because there are like, a million different Patrick Fillions out there.  HA! HA! HA!
