BOYTOONS MAGAZINE #132 – Zahn Appreciation!

Hello dear friends…

Aahhh…! At last, all seems to be getting back to normal!  As you all know, Fraser and I have moved and of course, such things rarely go completely smoothly!  We’ve had a few internet connection problems, but I am pleased to say that they have mostly all been resolved.  Thanks so much to all of you for being so patient!  I’ve tried to post a few times before now with no success.  Ah well, better late than never! LOL!

So now, Fraser and I are happy to get back to doing what we love best: Making Comics!

I thought I’d catch you all up a little with this issue, and I want to kick off by saying that TUG HARDER #1 is now available for purchase.  We’ve just gotten the issue back from the printers and it looks amazing.  That Butch McLogic is a true genius!  The book has a terrific story and fan-freakin-tastic artwork!  I strongly recommend it… it’s definitely one for the collection!  Here’s a link to Tug Harder #1, and if you want to familiarize yourselves with the series a bit more, check out the official Mini-Site Fraser and I put together.

The lovely Sarah, owner and operator of the always eloquent Rain on the Roof Blog, has just done a very fun interview with yours truly.  She asked some cool and very fresh questions which I really enjoyed answering.  I hope you will check it out… and peruse the rest of her fabulous Blog.  She recently did a wicked interview with Mike of which makes for some great reading as well.

Meanwhile, I would like to talk about Zahn #1.  I’ve gone on and on about how proud I am of this book.  I feel it’s one of, if not my best title to date.  A whole lot went into the development of the series and the issue in particular, from the establishing of the setting and the inhabitants of Varda, to Zahn himself and what his true nature is (and boy do I have some surprises in store for all of you in the next few issues!).

Paul, the FANTASTIC Gay Comic Geek, has just released his video review of Zahn #1 on You Tube and he had many kind words to say about the book.  I also love that he picked up on a lot of the subtleties of the issue.  WAY COOL, PAUL! Thanks for the awesome review! :oD  Be sure to check out his site.  He has a lot of cool comic reviews posted that I am certain you will find very enjoyable!

Getting back to the issue at hand… I suppose the reason for this post is that I want to discuss the book with you!  I am inviting your questions and comments… whatever you want to fire my way about Zahn and Zahn #1!  Consider this issue an invite to something of a discussion board with yours truly.

You see, it’s all good and well to be pleased with the end result of your own work, but it’s also very helpful to hear your fans’ impressions of it.  It helps to figure out whether you’re headed in the right direction or not. (As an aside, check out the non-explicit Zahn #1 trailer above which is posted to You Tube.  The explicit version is available at in the Video Vault)

I look forward to hearing form you.  Meanwhile, I leave you with this new Zahn wallpaper design. Enjoy, dear friends and I’ll chat with you soon!   And not to worry, I will be answering all the comments from last issue very shortly!  ;)
