Hello Max...

Thanks so much for taking the time to post your feelings on this matter. I truly appreciate it.

Well, as I said to Crystal, it is ultimately true that it's quite impossible to please everyone, but I do try my best to balance sex and story in my work.

I hear you and respect your opinion regarding Naked Justice: Beginnings #1, and you are correct, I have stated (and let me do so again! LOL! ) that issue #2 will be a very different read than issue #1. Issue #2 is all about Naked Justice realizing that he can have sex again for the first time in 15 years, and our hero has a LOT of lost time to make up for. So yeah -- expect LOADS and LOADS of sex! LOL!

That being said though, the issue will still move the story along. See, I believe that story is extremely important and that is why I really try to give you guys as much context to the sex int he comics as I can. Sometimes that balance is more even and sometimes, a little less. What's important to me though is that you guys still keep your faith in me and in the books. And I am ALWAYS happy to hear/read your comments, no matter if they are positive or negative towards my work. I'd be a hypocrite otherwise! LOL!

Thanks again for your comment. All the best to ya!
Hugz + Kisses,
Patrick XOXO

Hello Crystal...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write and voice your concerns. I am always very open to what my fans think of the work I do, and of the books Class Comics publishes, and I like to know what you guys think, even if it sometimes may sting a little! LOL!

The truth is that your comment has sort of come at an ironic time. You see, lately I have actually felt that I've thinned out the sex content a little in favor of the stories.

In Naked Justice: Beginnings #1 for instance, I really wanted to focus a lot on Felix's evolution as a character and show how he painfully and slowly became accustomed to his powers. The sex was almost secondary to the story in that book. Some fans liked that, others really did not.

I suppose the old adage is true "you cannot please everybody!" LOL! Though I do my best to offer as much variety both in my personal work, and in the work Fraser and I publish as Class Comics, so that everyone we cater to can find something that speaks to them. But first and foremost, we are a gay erotic comic book publisher, which means that the sexual content of what we do is a very important and integral part of our product.

If you prefer titles that do not strictly focus on sex, you'll be interested to know that we're soon going to release a new title called "Captain Eclipse" which features gay characters, but no sex at all. It is a wonderful science fiction space adventure that is as much mystery as it is action adventure. I will keep everyone posted on the official release dates for that book when they become available.

In closing though, as I said, I do value your opinion and appreciate that you took the time to voice it. That being said, I love to write and draw sex, and though I will always do my best to find a good balance between sex and story, I cannot see myself ever cutting one out entirely in favor of the other.

I only hope that you will still give things a chance and be open to varying degrees of story and sexual content in my various projects.

Much love to you,
Patrick XOXO

Hey Crystal,

you might be right, although I personally do not agree with you.

For example, I recently bought "NJ Beginnings I" and the lack of sex scenes disappointed me quite a bit. Now I'm looking forward to seeing "NJ Beginnings II" and I think Patrick already stated somewhere that the comic will include more sex scenes than its predecessor.

Kind regards (also to Patrick),

Hi Patrick, I was wondering if Im the only one among your fan thant liked your work much more when you published stories where the sex was only one of many ingredients of the book. The first issues (new edition) of the Guardian of the Cube where in black and white but are still the ones who I reread.
Now don't get me wrong, I love your artwork (and have all the hardcover Gmunder published to prove that) but sometimes in the latest books, with all these little stories who sometimes don't feel like stories at all, but only sex with colorful backgrounds... I don't know... is like something is missing. Am I the only one to feel this way?
