BOYTOONS MAGAZINE #112 – Remembering Kalvari.

I have just learned that Kalvari has passed away. Those of you who frequented the Y!Gallery will remember him as an artist of great talent who was famous for his striking inked works, and dramatic use of color in his beautiful art.

His men were always very sexy and his depictions of the male physique were as creative as they were skillful.

It saddens me that I never had the chance to chat with him directly, and his death is a great loss to the artistic community. He will be missed.

I encourage you all to visit his gallery and remember an artist who was not with us nearly long enough.

Much love, dear friends.

    I’m gonna miss him.

  2. Vaughn Michael says

Just another example of why we should apricate every day we have and the talents around us.
I’m quite tired of the entire artists not being apricated until they die thing.
I do not want to be another artistic statistic.

    I’m gonna miss him too…

    Sweet Angel…

  5. He was always the first to give encouragement and advice to other artists and was always constructive and never critical.

  6. Kalvari was a great human being and an excellent artist, probably not appreciated on his hometown, but now famous around the world.

    Thank you very much!

  7. I’m sitting here right now, still speechless. I’d spoken to him many times at y!, he was one of those ‘wow, nice people do exist’ types, you know?

In my world, those types are hard to come by. I still can’t get my head around the fact that, he’s not going to be around any more.

Oh my God…! I thought he had just become inactive on y-gallery…! This is too sad and tragic for words! T_T What a terrible blow… :'(

  9. I remember lurking his works and profile and thinking how he was always so sweet to everyone. Such a unique raw talent. He will be missed.

  10. Hey guys…

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment. Kalvari’s death is so sad, and it really does make you realize that you have to appreciate every moment you have on this earth.

He left behind some beautiful artwork for us to remember him by. And he also made quite an impact with his friends and family, as well as other artists who remember him fondly as encouraging and always supportive. In that respect he certainly lives on.

    Much love to you all.
