My most recent Purchase!

Fraser and I popped out of the house this morning to run some errands. I couldn’t help myself, I just had to snap up He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Season 2, Volume 1. Soon my FANTASTIC collection will be complete… that is as soon as the powers that be release the last box set, which will be the next volume of season 2.

Each one of these sets includes 2 gorgeous art cards by a variety of artists. I wanted to share the 2 cards from this volume with you, because they are especially gorgeous!

Frank Cho’s take on Teela, Beastman and Orko is wonderful. There is so much life in the image, it’s really breathtaking. And the colors are amazing!

The second card by Emiliano Santalucia is equally beautiful, and features almost every classic character from the series, including a TOTALLY SEXY rendition of He-Man. Yummy! ;)

I have yet to watch any of the episodes, and though I still prefer the new 2003 version of the cartoon, the classic always brings me back to my childhood… or at least, the good parts of it!

  1. Hey Patrick!

Patrick, you are just a big kid! I love that in you, the way you share your dreams and childhood memories, it just makes me wanna give you a huge hug!

Also you have given me a fantastic idea for my next blog! I will keep you posted on that one and let you know when it’s done.

Enjoy some time out with your Masters Of The Universe collection, you deserve mate!

    Licks & Chews!

    Manny.

  2. Charvolth says

Haven’t opened my copy yet, bought it yesterday, the art cards look cool, I noticed in the full cast that they included the heroic giant character, I think he wasn’t released in the states, I think he was confined to europe and canada in terms of release.

  3. I just got it, too. Man I feel like I’m five all over again. My brother and I keep falling asleep though watching the episodes. Everyone’s voice is so soothing, LOL. And who hasn’t had a million MOTU gay scenarios. I know I could write a few off the top if my head.

And I miss the 2003 series too :-(

  4. Hey Fellas!

Good of you to stop by!

Manny, thanks for the kind words! I am just a big kid at heart. I still love my comics, my cartoons and my action figures. I really believe that this is a healthy place to be as an adult. Who says that you reach a certain age, and suddenly all of those things should no longer be appropriate passions?

Charvolth…Hmmm… I don’t recall the Giant character either! Presumably, the answer to that mystery is held within the episodes of this set. Tell you what, I’ll let you know if I find out who he is, and please feel free to do the same! We MOTU fans gotta stick together! LOL!!!

Hiya Gymtwin! Welcome to my little Blog! Great of you to leave a comment! I agree, the voices in the original series were rather soothing… especially the female voices. They were all provided by the same actress I think, and she had a very velvety quality to her voice! And the gay scenarios…well, I can honestly say you are not alone in that! HA! HA! HA!

Meanwhile, I keep hoping that because the classic series has been so successful on DVD, they may decide to release the new 2003 version after the original sees a complete release. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Hugz + Kisses to you all!
    Patrick XOXOX

  5. Patrick… I know something you don’t know.

  6. Hi Gymtwin…YOU BIG TEASE!!!! Do tell this wonderful little secret of yours….. I am ALL EARS!!!

  7. Oh and thank you for scanning the MOTU heroes shot. It’s my new wallpaper! :-D
