BOYTOONS MAGAZINE #129 – Ali where are you?

I have always loved Freshmen magazine.  The men are always hot and the photography is not only a turn on, but it’s also executed with a very artful eye.  In many ways, it’s one of the best gay adult magazines out there.  But I think what I love best about Freshmen is that  the magazine also features some really wicked artists and illustrators of gay erotic art.

In the late 1990s, Freshmen began running comics by an artist named Ali.  The awesomeness of this artist struck me right away.  This was an illustrator with a great deal of style and a very unique line.  His stories were always very short and simple (that’s what happens when you only have a few panels to play with per issue!) but they were always very lovely to look at and quite effective… If you catch my drift.

The scenarios always left so much to the imagination because in one panel, Ali would set events in motion, and you as the viewer would get to imagine what happened next.

His men are beautiful and there is a certain “perfect” aesthetic to them.  The way you might expect that a store mannequin would be perfect with flawless skin and features… that’s what Ali’s guys make me think of.  Well, mannequins with huge, perfect cocks in any case!

What more can I tell you about Ali?  Sadly, nothing!  I wish I knew more.  I wish I had had the privilege of being in contact with this amazing talent.  Unfortunately, that’s not the case.  So Ali, if you happen to read this, please contact me via Class Comics.  I think you and I could have a ton of stuff to talk about!

And to you my dear readers, I say, if you happen to know of a website for Ali, please do let me know.  I would love to see what he is up to these days.

Meanwhile, despite the appalling lack of info I have on this fine talent, I do have a modest collection of his strips from Freshmen.  I have posted a few of them here today in order to share with you my complete love of them.  The joy and freedom Ali must have felt while creating these fabulously naughty little strips is quite evident in every line.  I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have, and as much as clearly, Ali did when he created them.

PS - On a personal note, it had to happen… Fraser and I are once again preparing to move.  Things have been a bit on the hectic side here because of all of that, but rest assured, I have some more cool stuff planned for BTM.  I hope you will all bear with me if it takes me a few days between posts to get new things posted.  Meanwhile, this particular issue has been a LOVELY break in an otherwise psychotic day!  LOL!  I hope you are all well, dear friends!  More from yours truly very shortly!

Hugz + kisses,

Patrick XOXO

And now, a message from Skin Tight USA!

Hello Friends;

Skin Tight USA’s, NYC’s premier lycra/ spandex/ gear fetish party is back in all its hot, tight, sexy, hard, and horny glory with Skin Tight USA’s NYC Gay Pride Week kick Off Extravaganza!

After moving venues to NYC’s infamous Stonewall Inn, located in NYC’s Greenwich Village, our party has exploded. Our April 19th, Comic Con Party had the largest number of people attending to date. With over 150 people, Stone Wall’s was packed with People clad in singlets, spandex and gear spilling into the streets.

With new Games, Strippers, DJ’s and a new hot venue, Skin Tight USA took the village by storm. With coverage of our party, artist Patrick Fillion and several articles in April 19th’s Comic Convention issue of Next Magazine, everyone knew that Skin Tight USA was the place to be.

The next Skin Tight USA event is being held on June 21st at The Stonewall Inn, 53 Christopher Street, NY. Starting at 10pm, there is a $5 cover charge.

BOYTOONS MAGAZINE #128 – The New CLASS COMICS website is here!

Good Morning, dear friends…

Hope you all had a terrific weekend.  I’d like to start this week off with some really great news!  THE NEW CLASS COMICS WEBSITE is now LIVE!!!

Fraser and I had talked about a redesign for some time now.  We just felt that classcomics.com deserved a serious overhaul.  Plus, we also wanted a site that offered YOU GUYS more in the way of goodies and information.  Well, I am pleased to say I think we succeeded.

The new website has a ton of cool new features, animations, character bios (which I know you all love) wallpaper designs for your computers, in depth series info, in depth creator info and much, much more.

One of my favorite parts of the new site is the Video Vault section.  There are currently 3 brand new trailers in that section, and we plan to add more shortly.  Class has been working with a company overseas to make them, and the results so far are really exciting.  The videos show you the books in a whole new light.  Currently you can view video trailers for Zahn #1, Guardians of the Cube #5 and The Initiation #1.

Another cool aspect of the new site is that we plan on treating it much like a Blog, and that means that the updates will be frequent.  We are currently working on uploading ALL the Fan Art we’ve received over the years.  There’s some really great stuff there, and though it’s gonna take some time to get it all posted, it’s totally worth it and will be a great addition to the site in the end.

The only aspect of the site we have not changed is our Catalog section.  It’s remained the same because most of you have commented over the years that you love the way it’s set up and how easy it is to find what you’re looking for.

So head on over to the new site and enjoy all it has to offer, folks!  There’s a lot of cool stuff to discover! We’re all really proud of our new look and content and look forward to your impressions.

Have fun!
Hugz + Kisses,
Patrick XOXO

BOYTOONS MAGAZINE #127 – The Art of Humbuged!

It’s quite likely that everyone who reads this Blog is familiar with this artist. I’ve discussed about him before, after all. His stuff is so visually striking and he has such a unique flavor to his style. I am talking about the amazing HUMBUGED, of course!

For those of you who are not familiar with Humbuged, you will most certainly be thrilled to discover his work. He’s been creating his artwork for quite some time now, and he is quite well known for his beautifully conceived and colored fan arts and personal creations. And with good reason!

He has created several characters that are simply bubbling with personality and sensuality. There’s Keric, a sexy elf-boy who seems quite naïve about his own sex appeal. There’s Arus, a lusty and sometimes almost kinda goofy monkey boy, (who I personally hope we get to see more of). And then there are Xerude, a hot muscle boy with emerald green hair, and the twinkish Cyl who loves to lust after Keric!

As I mentioned above, Humbuged is also well known for his fan art. His commissions schedule is always full, and if you’re interested in a piece of art, you gotta get to him early – the sign of a well respected and admired artist! Some few months back, Humbuged was sweet enough to draw me his version of Camili-Cat, which graces this issues’ cover. His Cam blew me away! The way he managed to so expertly capture Cam’s essence is completely brilliant. This piece remains one of my fave Cam fan arts to date!

Upon perusing The Humplex, Humbuged’s home on the net, you’ll find more than plenty of succulent eye candy. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Humbuged is not only a prolific and gifted illustrator, he’s also one of those rare artists who can bring animated life to his illustrations. He excels at creating racy and raunchy games that feature his own characters as well as characters from pop culture. His latest character masturbation game features Final Fantasy’s Wakka. I have to tell you, this game not only impressed me from an artistic and technical point of view, but it also totally turned me on! The expressions on Wakka’s face, the way his cock pulsates… and then that superbly animated cum shot. This, dear friends, is why Humbuged is a genius.

You see, being a good artist isn’t just about being able to draw. It’s about being able to observe. It’s all about the tiny nuances and the attention to detail. Those things are vital to being good at what you do. Humbuged is nothing if not attentive to details. This coupled with his intuitive sense of composition and lighting and his instinct for true sexiness is what makes him the killer artist he is.

I’ve embedded his Wakka game for you to experience firsthand (literally! ;), but I would strongly urge you to head on over to the Humplex after you jerk Wakka off. It’s a fantastic Blog, by an artist who is down to Earth, sweet and charmingly unassuming. Plus you’ll find more beautiful Boytoons to feast your eyes on. And hey, all artists gotta make a living. Leave the guy a tip if you enjoy your time there.

Hugz + Kisses,

Patrick XOXO
